Adrien J. Tompkins of Sharon entered into his final rest on October 1st at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 23, 1932 in Pawtucket, RI. and has lived in Sharon for the last 62 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1956 and was a proud member of the Bricklayers & Mason Local 3 in Boston for over 50 years. Adrien always enjoyed working with his hands. His favorite hobby was building birdhouses that he proudly displayed throughout his yard. He was even featured in the Boston Globe for his handiwork. He also enjoyed going to breakfast at IHop as often as he could. Adrien is survived by his wife, Carolyn Betty Tompkins of 62 years and 3 children, Adrien Tompkins, Jr. of Maine, Debra Lee Dion of Sharon, and Lisa Tompkins Wilcox and her husband Chris of Dighton. He leaves several grandchildren and his cat, Whiskers. A private service and burial will be held at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.
