Veronica M. (Saniuk) Groehl, 99 of Medway, died peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the Genesis Milford Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick “Fred” H. Groehl who died in 2010.
Born on August 16, 1917 in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Veronica Mary (Bakshis) Saniuk.
She is survived by her children, Fred H. Groehl Jr. and his wife Emily of Bonita Springs, FL, Robert E. Groehl and his wife Susan of Cotuit and Cynthia A. Dikun and her husband Stephen of Bellingham.
She was the mother of the late Shirley Brinkman and her surviving spouse Donald of Pacific, MO and the sister of the late Molly Markunas of Franklin.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home,(www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St., Medway on Tuesday, October 4 at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St., Medway, MA at 10:00am. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-7:00pm in the funeral home.
