Iva Nell Fletcher Hogan, 78, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2016, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Brent Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hogan was born August 8, 1938, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late T. Wiley & Nellie Corine Watkins Fletcher. She worked at The Herald-Leader and was a seamstress for H.R. Kaminsky & Sons, Champion Sportswear, Custom Sportswear, and Fitzgerald Underwear. She also managed Bill’s Dollar store for many years. She loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with friends. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Debora & Ed Futch of Rochelle, Teresa & Joe Royal of Ocilla, and W.L. “Lin” & Barbara Ann Hogan of Fitzgerald; five grandchildren: Charles & Jennifer Futch, Brandi & Steven Pitts, Josie Royal & John Bartell, Jr., Ashley & Chris “Rooster” Woods, and Nikki Hogan & Bruno Rodriguez; four great-grandchildren: Nate Futch, Landon Futch, Kayden Pitts, and Ally Woods; and three brothers and their spouses: Joe & Jeanette Fletcher, Robert & Pam Fletcher, and Monte & Dorothy Fletcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: H. L. "Billy" Hogan and nine brothers and sisters.
