Patricia C. Carlson of Mystic, CT, formerly of Mumford Cove, Groton, CT passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. She was 93 years old.
She most recently resided at Avalon Healthcare having moved there from StoneRidge Independent Living in Mystic, CT.
Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Severn S. Carlson, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela C. Schleifman (Bruce) of Selden, NY, her son, Bruce S. Carlson (Patricia) of Groton, CT. Patricia also leaves her granddaughters, Gail Scarito (Michael) of Hauppauge, NY, Allison Martinez (Richard) of Central Islip, NY, Lauren Carlson of Troy, NY and Katherine Carlson of Syracuse, NY. Patricia also leaves two great-grandaughters, Ashley Scarito and Taylor Scarito both of Hauppauge, NY
Patricia Carlson was born in Huntington, NY on August 3, 1923. She is the daughter of Sydney J. and Virginia S. Cunningham.
Patricia attended schools in New Jersey.
Before living in CT, Patricia and her husband lived in Setauket, NY where Patricia was very involved with the volunteers at JT Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. Later Mrs. Carlson became the Director of Volunteers at Mather Hospital. She was also a member of the Three Village Garden Club of Setauket, LI.
After moving to Groton CT, Mrs. Carlson became an active volunteer of the Mystic Seaport for many years and also a member of the Mystic Garden Club. She also volunteered for the Red Cross.
A Memorial Service will be held at StoneRidge, 186 Jerry Browne Road, Mystic at a later date.
