Richard (Dick) J. Prendergast, 80 years old of Boston, peacefully passed away in the town of Newton on September 12th, 2016. Richard was born in Boston to Patrick and Margaret Prendergast on April 23, 1936, and was the beloved brother of Patricia, Robert and Ruth. Known for his kind heart, gentleman-like demeanor and love for music, Richard will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Richard will be laid to rest at Mount Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury; funeral services provided by Casper Funeral Services of Boston. “While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil” (J.
