Obituary

M. Lou Lincoln was born in 1945 to Jerry and Alice Simonson while residing in Ohio. Lou attended California Lutheran University, completing her degree and teaching credential at Cal State Northridge.
Lou married Dan Lincoln in 1967 and began their life together in Oakland, Ca. They moved to Southern California in 1969 and eventually made their home in Ventura for over 30 years.
As an artist, Lou had a variety of talents and interests. As the granddaughter of two Lutheran ministers, she was a faithful and enthusiastic member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 27 years, serving in numerous leadership positions.
Lou died in her home surrounded by loved ones on September 27, 2016. She is survived by Dan, her loving husband of 49 years, her twin sister Lynn, brother Jack (Mari), and many adoring nieces and nephews, as well as grandniece Fiona and grandnephews Ray and Bodey.
A special thanks to her UCLA surgeon, Dr. Jay Lee, oncology team headed by Dr. Bartosz Chmielowski and Sandra Brackert NP, her Ventura palliative care team headed by Dr. Chuck Pankratz and Diana Jaquez RN, and her Assisted Hospice Care.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her at Trinity Lutheran Church, 196 N. Ashwood Avenue, Ventura on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Remembrance Garden or the Endowment Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran World Relief.
