NATICK: Marion F. (Dagg) Kane, died peacefully at her Natick home on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2016. She was one month shy of her 105th birthday.
Born in Newton, and raised and educated in Natick, Marion was a daughter of the late Thomas and Grace (McCormick) Dagg. She married and remained in Natick where she raised her five children.
Marion was a hard working and dedicated mother. She was employed during the day with Hodgeman Rubber in Framingham for 26 years, while evenings were spent waiting tables at Saylors Restaurant in Wellesley. Essentially a family oriented lady, Marion enjoyed sewing in quiet times and liked to travel when the opportunity arose.
Predeceased by a daughter, Carol, in 1956, and a son, Donald in 1988, Marion is survived by a son, Joseph Kane and his wife Virginia of Natick; two daughters, Marjorie Kane of Natick and Marilyn Johnson of Marlborough; eight grandchildren, Joseph, James, John, and Jerry Kane, and Kurt, Paul, and Gary Johnson, and Kim Veitch; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Dagg of FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Donna Marie Kelly and sister of the late Irene Nazarro and Dorothy Bugalio.
Her funeral service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Friday, September 30th at 12:00noon. Relatives and friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Natick.
