WESTPORT – Laura (Oliveira) Ferreira, age 85 of Westport, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sep. 26, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Jacintho “Jesse” Ferreira and the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Brilhante) Oliveira. Prior to retiring, Laura worked as an Assorter for RONDO Knit Sportswear. She was a parishioner of St. George’s Church, and volunteered for many years at Espirito Santo School.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Ferreira of Westport and her son Jerald Ferreira, and his wife Lisa, of Tiverton; her grandson: Matthew Ferreira of Tiverton; and her brother James Oliveira of Dracut, MA; and several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward Oliveira.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George’s Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
