New Bedford – Arthur Amaral, 68, of Acushnet passed away September 26, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was husband of the late Marilyn F. (Sherman) Amaral.
Mr. Amaral was born in New Bedford, son of the late Arthur P. and Winifred A. (Melia) Amaral, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He was employed as a lab technician by Morgan Ceramics until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and reading.
Survivors include his daughters: Jessica P. Leaver and Stacey P. Brouillette; his son: Joseph M. Amaral; 1 brothers: Stephen J. T. Amaral; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. He was father of the late Michael A. Amaral and brother of the late Thomas Amaral.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Thursday, September 28, 2016, 4:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services at the funeral home on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
Interment in Acushnet Cemetery.
