Thomas John Farris, 70, of Cleveland, Ohio died September 25, 2016 unexpectedly.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Jamil and Annie (John) Farris, he lived in Cleveland, Ohio for many years and wintered in Fort Myers, FL.
He was formerly employed as a clinical psychologist for Lorain County, Ohio until his retirement.
Mr. Farris was a member of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Farris enjoyed karaoke.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Tammy Farris and Maria Brown and her husband Jason and their daughter Farah Brown, all of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Helena Tavares and her husband Daniel of New Bedford; a niece, Lenora Delgado and her husband Mario of New Bedford; and a nephew, Eric Tavares of New Bedford.
His Funeral will be held on Friday, September 30th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by the Divine Liturgy at Our Lady of Purgatory Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, September 29th from 4-8 PM.
