Obituary

NATICK: Sheila May Lane, 83, died comfortably following a period of declining health on Friday, September 23, 2016.
She was born in Natick the daughter of the late Arthur H. Lane and Evelyn S. (Haskell) Lane.
Sheila is survived by her two nieces, Lisa Ann O’Neil and her husband Richard O’Neil of Springfield and Catherine A. “Cathy” McMullen of Ashland. Also survived by her dearest friend Annette Lazilli of Brimfield and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Norma J. (Lane) Poisson; Ruth (Lane) New and Jane E. (Lane) Federico and the aunt of the late William Federico and David Poisson.
She has been a lifelong resident of Natick and graduated from Natick High School. She began her career after graduating from college as an x-ray technician at General Motors in Framingham. She retired after over 20 years of dedicated service as an Administrative Pharmacy Assistant in the Pharmacy Department of Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. She spent many hours as a volunteer at Leonard Morse Hospital over the years. She was a longtime and active member of Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church in Natick.
Sheila loved to go to the movies and travelled extensively in her younger years with family and friends. Her family was the most important aspect of her life and enjoyed the time that she spent with them.
Visitations will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to her funeral services at 11:00 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Lane family lot in Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
In lieu of flowers her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Sheila’s memory may be sent to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts Street, Suite 450, Newton, Massachusetts 02458.
