Gertrude M. (Auclair) Plante, 84, of St. Louis Avenue, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Donald L. Plante whom she married in 1958. Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Francois and Helen (Masse) Auclair.
Gertrude worked for Walnut Hill Bowl for almost thirty years before her retirement. She had also worked for the U.S. Rubber Company. She enjoyed her days of coaching Jr League Bowlers and serving the youth of St. Charles’ CYO.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Plante of N. Smithfield and Timothy Plante of Pascoag, and two grandchildren, Tara and Kristopher Plante.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 10:30 in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. The family will be at the church at 10:00AM to greet their guests. No other calling hours are scheduled. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd, Bellingham.
