Ricky Calvin Reynolds, Sr., 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Harris Johnson and the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery in Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Reynolds was born May 15, 1954, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Calvin Coolidge Reynolds and Louise Eldridge Reynolds. He lived in the community most all of his life, as a small child he lived in Chicago, Illinois and Russellville, Alabama. He attended Ashton School and was a former production worker for Delphi. He was an avid Purple Hurricane and Georgia Bulldog fan and loved to crack jokes. Mr. Reynolds loved his grandchildren. He attended CFI and was a member of Crossview Baptist Church, both in Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his two children: Ricky Calvin Reynolds, Jr. & Allison Ross of Fitzgerald and Lynn Reynolds Akins of Ocilla; grandchildren: Riley Reynolds, Ragan Reynolds, Ashlyn Akins and Sara Akins; a sister: Linda Smith of Douglas and his companion: Sarah Fussell of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving Jack Russell dog: Cricket.
