TAUNTON – Pedro B. Rebelo, husband of Maria T. (Pereira-Medeiros) Ferreira of 64 years, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sept. 24, 2016. He was 89.
Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of late Manuel Bento and Irmilinda Rebelo.
Mr. Rebelo moved to the United States in 1970. He was employed as a laborer for Simeone Construction for 18 years, retiring in 1989. He loved gardening and growing fruit trees, especially wine grapes.
Besides his wife Maria, he leaves two sons, Manuel Rebelo and his wife Maria and Jose Rebelo all of Taunton; two daughters, Mary Rebelo Wilkinson and Grace Rebelo-Rivera, both of Taunton; one sister, Irmelinda Rebelo of Sao Miguel, Acores; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Sept. 30th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
