Patricia "Pat" (Eckstein) Cox, 70, of Fishers, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis.
She was born on February 7, 1946 in Anderson, the daughter of Albert and Loretta (Schmitt) Eckstein. She was employed by General Motors as an Administrative Assistant and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a member of the Victoria Guild at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and served as the chairman of the floral Committee. She loved socializing with friends and always had a smile.
She is survived by her husband Otis Cox, whom she married December 28, 1968; two children, Anjanette "Anjie" Cox of Anderson and Christopher Cox of Indianapolis; a brother, Charles "Chuck" (wife Patty) Eckstein of Raleigh, NC and brother in law Wayne (wife Nanette) Cox of Anderson; nieces and nephews, Mike Smith of Noblesville, Cheri Fisher of Florida, Amanda Tripp of North Carolina, Patrick Eckstein of North Carolina, Carrie Barnett of Anderson, and Kevin Cox of Fishers, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Smith, her brother-in-law, Ed Smith, and her in-laws Loer and Doris Cox, a sister in law, Carol Cox and her "grand dog" Mikey.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service.
