John Federico of Somerville died on Sunday, September 25, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. Raised and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Bridget (Cassesi) Federico. John was an avid sports fan. He was a diehard Red Sox fan, enjoyed cooking and loved animals.
He was the beloved husband of Rosie (Torres) Federico, and the devoted father of Joseph Federico and his wife Cecilia of Billerica, and John Federico of Somerville. John was the brother of Anna Castle and her husband Frederick, Fredrick Federico and his wife Anna, all of Somerville, and the late Pasquale (Pat) Federico. He was the loving uncle of Jason Castle of Somerville, and is also survived by his beloved dog Kelly.
A celebration of life will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, September 28 at 7PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 through 7PM. Interment will be private.
