Barbara E. Fisher, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Sep. 23, 2016. Barbara was born in Boston then raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. After school she moved to Bellingham where she started a family before settling in Hull in 1971. Barbara and her family loved the beach and have many fond memories of summers in their hometown. She was known by her family and friends for being kind, gentle, generous, and a selfless mother. Barbara loved her trips to Aruba and her cat Gizmo. Barbara’s family is thankful for the final moments they spent with her, reminiscing about Barbara’s life.
Barbara is survived by her beloved children Kim McArdle and her fiancé Scott Williams of Rutland, MA, Walter Delaney Jr. of Weymouth, John Delaney and his wife Karen of Havehill, Matthew Delaney and his wife Roberta of Brockton, and Christopher Delaney and his wife Sharon of Hull, Loving sister to Mary F. Matthews and her significant other Brian McCluskey of Plymouth and the late David W. Harvey. Barbara is also survived by her cherished nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Barbara on Thursday, Sep. 29, 2016 from 4-6PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Service in honor of Barbara’s life will begin promptly at 6pm following the visiting hours.
