Peter J. Buonaugurio of Danvers died on Saturday, September 24, at Beverly Hospital. Raised and educated in Medford, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Mariannina (DiNitto) Buonaugurio. Peter proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and worked for many years at General Electric.
Peter was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Leonard) Buonaugurio, and the devoted father of John Buonaugurio and his wife Kathy of Medford, and Mary Vetree and her husband Wayne of Danvers. He was the loving grandfather of Stephen Vetree and his wife Diane of Salem, Kristina Vetree of Danvers, Ryan Buonaugurio of Medford, and the loving great grandfather of Aisley Vetree. Peter was the brother of Marie Buonaugurio of Medford, Thomas Buonaugurio of Peabody, the late Nicholas Buonaugurio and his surviving wife Elvira of Aberdeen, MD, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, September 28 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10AM - noon. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
