Obituary

Beulah Genievra (Beal) DeLorey, 93 of Milford formerly of Medway, died September 23 in Genesis of Milford.

Born in Newton, November 25, 1923, the daughter of the late Carl and Josephine (Lawrence) Beal, Mrs. DeLorey had lived in Medway for many years before moving to Milford.

She had been a Nurse’s Aide at Medfield State Hospital for 30 years and had also worked at the Blaire House in Milford and the Holliston Manor.

Beulah had been active in the Church of New Hope, where her son is pastor. She served on the Mission Committee and also the Deaconess Committee.

She enjoyed making afghans and doing ceramics. She loved animals and keep both cats and rats as pets. She enjoyed trips to the ocean, where she loved looking for sea glass.

She was especially close to her grandchildren who considered her a friend.

She is survived by her children, Judith E. DeLorey of Milford with who she lived with for many years and the Rev. Carl DeLorey and his wife Barbara of Uxbridge. She was the mother of the late David DeLorey.

She is also survived by her sister Joanne Alger of Hopedale and was the sister of the late Jon, Carl and Dianna Beal.

She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson.

Beulah also leaves her beloved cats Kitten and Africa DeLorey.

Services will be private with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Medway.
