Joseph Leroy “Joe” Bridges, 76, of Guin, Alabama passed away Friday, September 23, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Tifton’s First Assembly of God with the Rev. John Thomas officiating. Mr. Bridges will be laid to rest at Eldorado Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 26, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Bridges will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Born August 19, 1940 in Athens, Mr. Bridges was the son of the late William Lee Bridges and Eleane Ruby Clack Bridges. He was also preceded in death by two sisters. He was retired and a member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God.
Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife of 52 years, Audrey “Jean” Willett Bridges of Guin, Alabama; and a sister, Carolyn Arp, of Barnesville.
