Robert Malcolm Taylor, 83 of Ojai, passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday September 20, 2016.
Mr. Taylor was born September 5, 1933 in Eugene, Oregon and he was a Ventura County resident for the past several years. Moving from Oregon he was raised in Santa Monica. He proudly served his country and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Robert was employed by the 3 M Company for 32 years in their quality control division.
Robert was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ojai.
He would spend many hours working and doing volunteer work at the Church and would help the church assisting caring for the Homeless. He enjoyed working on his Genealogy research and also working at the Genealogy Library at the Mormon Church of Ojai.
Robert was a member of the Tri-Counties sports car club in the 1960's and that is where he met the love of his life Emma Mae Corning. They were married in Las Vegas, January 12, 1963.
Robert and Emma enjoyed going on bike rides and would bike 10 to 13 miles each day. They also enjoyed walking and photography.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Emma Mae Taylor; step son Gregory E. Fancher of Ojai; grandchildren Hayden and Quinton Fancher; and a cousin Russ Corning.
Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego.
