Obituary

Kelley, Mary C. of North Easton, formerly of Boston passed away on September 13th. Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughters Patricia Kelly of Mashpee, Kathleen Kiely of North Easton and Ellen Hanley of South Boston, her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her great joy and many loving nephews and nieces.  Mary was predeceased by her sons, John W. Hanley (BFD) and Raymond F. Hanley; her brother Gerard Kelley and her dear sister in law Josephine Kelley, her brothers William Kelley, Joseph Kelley and James Kelley (BFD) and her parents Mary (Donnelly) and William Kelley (BFD).

Mary was born and raised in Mission Hill, and attended Mission Grammar and High School.  Mary was a loving and devoted mother, sister, daughter and aunt.  She was a nana in the truest sense, taking great joy in the birth of each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren lovingly  remember their many visits with her  as filled with love, laughter and "the best pancakes ever". In later life she was lovingly known as "Great  Nana" to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loving friends. She celebrated each holiday with cake, and her kindness, joy and love made each holiday special. A hard worker and retired employee of the City of Boston, she believed there was no greater work than civil service. A devout Catholic, Mary lived her life with gratitude and faith. She had a smile and "God Bless" for everyone.

In keeping with her wishes, funeral services will be private. For those seeking to remember Mary,  donations in her memory can be made to Mission Church - 1545 Tremont St. Boston, MA 02120.
