Obituary

Stephen Marshalek, 76, of Dartmouth died August 3, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Rosamond (Sweet) Marshalek.
Born in Taunton, the son of the late Walter and Pauline Marshalek, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.
Mr. Marshalek was a well-known area restauranteur, who owned and operated Steve's Coffee Shop in Downtown New Bedford, Kate Cory Galley in Westport, and later Kate Cory's at Bittersweet Farms in Westport.
Mr. Marshalek served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former member and coach for the Dartmouth Youth Athletic League and a coach for the Moose Pony League. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen W. Marshalek and his wife Maura of Dartmouth; and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Abigail, and Owen Marshalek.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, August 5th from 4-7 PM. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
