Dorothy R. Harris, a 3 year resident of Georgetown and former longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Boston Medical Center in Boston. She was 56 years old.
Dorothy was born in Boston on October 21, 1959, a daughter of the late Robert E. Harris and Dorothy A. (Leeman) Harris. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended the Boston Public School system. Dorothy worked for 15 years at The Boston Globe as a Chairwoman for the Paper Handler's Union Local # 3.
Dorothy is the longtime companion of John Dillon. She is the beloved sister of Maureen Tirro, Daniel Harris, Michael Harris and the late Robert Harris and David Harris. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Dorothy's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
