Luigi C. DiMichele of Medford died on Sunday, September 18. Born and raised in the Province of Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy, town of Alanno, he was the son of the late Ottavio and Levina (Toto) DiMichele. Luigi came to the U.S. in 1956, settling first in Boston's North End before moving to Medford in 1975.
Luigi was the beloved husband of the late Maria (DiMascio) DiMichele, and the devoted father of Josephine Ciardiello and her husband Joseph of Ipswich, and Angelo DiMichele of Medford. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, September 23 at 10:30AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, September 22 from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
