Walter T. Hannigan, Jr. of West Roxbury passed away on September 19, 2016. Loving son of the late Walter T. & Margaret (Powers) Hannigan.
Walter is survived by family members Nadege White & her husband Erik, Richard Powers & his wife Kimberlee, Suzanne Powers, Michael Powers & his wife Audrey, John Powers, Edward Thompson & his wife Katherine. Also survived by a host of nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting hour on Saturday, October 1st, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 525 River Street, Mattapan from 9-10 AM, Followed by a Funeral service at 10 AM. The interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit, or to the charity of one's choice.
Mr. Hannigan was a beloved teacher in the Boston Public schools for many years.
