Abraham A. "Abe" Reid, a 13 year resident of Everett and former longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was 50 years old.
Abe was born in Boston on August 10, 1966, a son of the late Linda M. Reid and Jose A. Alvarado. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1984. Abe furthered his education throughout his adult life and attended classes at several higher education institutions to further his career in accounting. He was working for Public Consulting Group as an Accountant for the last 5 years. Abe enjoyed cooking and serenading people with his unusual voice always singing whenever the opportunity arose. Abe enjoyed life and cherished the quality moments that he spent with his wife and always looked forward to spending time with his sons and grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Abe is the beloved husband of 13 years to Robin A. (Michaels) Reid. He is the devoted father of Christopher McGrath, Nicholas McGrath, Patrick McGrath and Shaun McGrath. He is the loving Papa Doodles to Michael, Brennis and Declan. He is the beloved brother of Tracylee Reid and her husband Waheh, Raquel Angelina Ford and the late Marcus T. Alvarado. He is the loving uncle of October Rice, Marcus T. Alvarado Jr. and Richard T. Ford Jr. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Abe's visiting hours on Saturday morning, September 24, 2016 from 8:30 A.M. to 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10:30 A.M. His burial is private.
