REHOBOTH - Constantina (DeMattos) Ormond, age 98 of Rehoboth, passed away on September 18, 2016 at Saint Elizabeth Manor in Bristol, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Ormond.
Born in Rehoboth she was a daughter of the late Frank and Constantina (Oliveira) DeMattos. Mrs. Ormond along with her late husband owned and operated Ormond Dairy Farm. She was a former member of the So. Rehoboth Womans Auxiliary Fire Dept and the Rehoboth Carpenter Museum. Most of all Constantina was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.
She was the loving mother of Eleanor Amaral and her husband Richard of Rehoboth, sister of Alice Dimond of OH , grandmother of Karma J. Amaral and great-grandmother of Robert M. Burns,III and Elizabeth Ormond Burns all of No. Dighton. She was also the sister of the late Joseph, Manuel, Frank, Anthony, Arthur and John DeMattos and the late Mary Abrams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11 am in St. Dominic Church 1277 GAR Hwy (RT 6) in Swansea. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
