Obituary

Eunice Mary Ann Schmidt Rickman, age 94, of Red Oak, Virginia passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. She was born on August 12, 1922 in Wales, North Dakota to the late Anthony Schmidt and the late Ann Victoria Sauer Schmidt.

Eunice is survived by one daughter, Victoria Garrett and her special friend, Doug Jones of Clarksville, six sons, David Rickman and his wife, Audrey of Red Oak, Ronald Rickman of Red Oak, Jerry Rickman and his wife, Becky of Red Oak, James "Mike" Rickman and his wife, Anne of Chase City, Robert Rickman and his wife, Cindy of Red Oak, and Steve Rickman and his wife, Debbie of Red Oak, twelve grandchildren, Gregg Garrett, Shawn Rickman, Ricky Rickman, Brandie Rickman, Ben Rickman, Jessica Allgood, Melissa Wood, Jamie Rickman, Michelle Woiculevicz, Cody Rickman, Blake Rickman and Matt Rickman and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Marilyn Zimmerman of Washington and Gracie Schmidt of Wisconsin, one brother, Eugene Schmidt of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Harvey Davis Rickman.

Mrs. Rickman is a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Red Oak and an Honorary Member of The Clarksville Ruritans. She is a World War II Navy Veteran.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
