Obituary

NATICK: Barbara E. “Bobby” Champagne, 90, died peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016 following a brief period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on January 13, 1926 the daughter of the late Joseph H. Gagnon and Nevada A. (Bradley) Gagnon.
Barbara was the loving mother of Donna M. Sangeleer and her husband David Sangeleer of Natick. She was the devoted grandmother of Christopher Sangeleer and his wife Courtney Sangeleer of Holliston and Nicole Sangeleer of Natick and treasured great grandmother of Joshua and Evelyn Sangeleer of Holliston. She is also survived by her sister, Francine Borghi Morris of Natick as well as several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was educated in the Holbrook and Marlborough schools and received her Registered Nurse certification from the Saint Elizabeth’s School of Nursing. She was a maternity nurse at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. She retired after a long and dedicated career as a Pediatric Nurse with Dr. Francis East and Dr. Kais Alhadi.
She was devoted to her faith and was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Natick. She will be missed by her family and all of the people who came into her life.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street (Rte 135), Natick.
Interment will follow in the Gagnon – Champagne family lot in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.
