Hanson – Marilee A. (Rich) Conway 71, died Monday September 19 after a brave battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Donald M. Conway.
Born in Brockton and raised in Hanson she was the daughter of the late Leon H. and Mary (Chamberlain) Rich and a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High, Class of 1963.
Prior to her retirement she had worked doing clerical services for local law offices and the Ocean Spray Company.
As a lifelong resident of Hanson, Marilee had been longtime member of the Hanson Baptist Church.
She loved knitting and crocheting, had enjoyed the time spent in her garden and was truly fond of her precious “Kitties”
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Phipps and her husband Winston of Hanson and Judith Hetrick and her husband Gary of RI and her sister-in-law Margie Rich of Bridgewater as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Howard A. Rich.
Her funeral service will be held Friday September 23 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
