David J. Asquino, 70, of Jamestown, RI died September 18, 2016 at Hope Hospice in Providence after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late Daniel and Alice (Martin) Asquino, he was a resident of Wickford and Jamestown, RI for the past 12 years.
David was formerly employed as a set designer and installer for Disneyland and Disney World until his retirement. He also managed and operated homeless shelters in Florida, Texas and California.
Survivors include his sister, Sandra Kozuch and her husband Charles; 2 brothers, Richard Asquino and Daniel Asquino and his wife Alberta DelPrete; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22nd at 9:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. His visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 21st from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
