Obituary

Patricia E. “Patty” Fricia passed away peacefully at the Boston Medical Center on Friday. She was 72. Born and raised in Boston’s North End of Boston, she was the daughter of the late Anthony B. and Connie (Annacone) Chiarello. A Medford resident for over 40 years, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Patty was a professor of astrology for many years at Bunker Hill Community College. She was a kind and generous person who was a good friend to many.


The beloved wife of John A. “Red” Fricia, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Deborah Fricia and Valerie Fricia, both of Medford and the late Karen E. Fricia. She was a loving grandmother to Thomas Brandon Reynolds and the late Kristan Fricia (Schreib). The dear sister of Anthony L. Chiarello, she is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Wednesday, September 21 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday 4 - 8 PM.
