Santo Ferrara passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, September 17th. He was 87. Born and raised in the North End of Boston, he was the son of the late Peter and Grace (Russo) Ferrara. Santo worked for Raytheon Corporation before his retirement. . He enjoyed gardening and time with his loving family and friends.
The beloved husband of the late Mary (Manzelli) Ferrara, he was a devoted father to Gracine Copithorne and her husband Richard of Medford, Cheryl Scully- Cappello, her husband Anthony of Medford and her late husband Robert Scully. He was a loving grandfather to Kimberly Melius and her husband Jason, Richard Copithorne Jr. and his wife Nicole, Christopher Scully and his wife Angela and Jessica Scully. He was a loving great-grandfather to Jacqueline, Julia, Joshua and Lilly. The dear brother of Jean Bocchino and her husband Frank, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday September 20th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Monday 4-8 PM.
