FALL RIVER…Manuel A. Amaral, 72, of Fall River passed away September 16, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Jacqueline (Dumont) Farias Amaral of Fall River.
Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Alipio and Isabel (Estacio) Amaral. He moved to Fall River in 1952.
Mr. Amaral worked as a Die Caster at Robbins Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Fall River and enjoyed watching movies.
Along with his wife, survivors include 2 sons: Christopher Amaral of Fall River, & Craig Amaral and his wife Gina of CA, 3 step-sons: Michael Farias and his wife Debbie, Dennis Farias and his wife Dawn, & Steven Farias, all of Fall River, a brother, Alipio Amaral, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Fall River, a sister, Connie Botelho and her husband Kenny of Westport, 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Amber, Christopher, Craig, II, & Caden Amaral, 1 great grandson, Michael, several nieces, nephews and cousins. he was brother of the late Isabel Desrosiers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, at 8 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at St. Bernadette Parish, 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM.
