Zablocki, Genevieve (Kaminski) passed away after a brief illness in South Boston on September 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Henry. Devoted mother of Linda Zablocki of South Boston. Henry Zablocki and his wife Mary-Ellen of Norwood. Michael Zablocki and his wife Janice of Litchfield, New Hampshire. Jennifer Evans and her husband John of South Boston. Joseph Zablocki and his wife Michelle of Dorchester. Sister of the late Mary Orewiler, Sophie Uvello, Judith Gieser, Anthony and Joseph Rasimowicz as well as John Kaminski. Cherished Babci (grandmother) of Jodi, Michael Jr., Jaimie, Evan, Allison, Brenden, Lauren, Katelyn, Kathryn, Charlene and Joseph. Bashe (great-grandmother) of Ryan, Austin and our angel Sydney. Also lovingly survived by lifelong friend of AnnMarie “Sugar” Long and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on Sunday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish located at 655 Dorchester Avenue in South Boston on Monday at 10 AM. Interment services will be private. Genevieve was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post #6536, the Castle Island Association and the K Club at Florian Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Genevieve’s memory to the Home for Little Wanderers and the Jimmy Fund.
