Louise M. (Remillard) Matton, 76, of New Bedford died Monday August 1, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Drozek) Remillard, she had lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadaloupe Parish at St. James Church.
Mrs. Matton was formerly employed as a matron at Aerovox Corporation until her retirement in 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. Lawrence, and her husband Peter, of New Bedford; a son, Paul A. Matton, and his wife Jackie, of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Peter Remillard, and his wife Janice, of New Bedford; a sister, Loretta Dubois, and her husband Eugene, of Acushnet; two aunts, with whom she was raised like sisters, Frances Perry and Norma DeTerra, both of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, Friday, August 5th at 10 AM, followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
