Obituary

Chaison, Kenneth W. age 72, of Bethesda, MD, died at his home Saturday, August 27, 2016. He was born November 3, 1943 in Brockton, MA, the son of the late Frances and Kenneth Chaison. Beloved husband of the late Mary Catherine (Spenner). He is survived by his devoted daughter Katherine Chaison, son-in-law Steffin Spears and cherished granddaughter Mary-Catherine Spears of Malden, loving sister Janice Mullen of Dedham, aunt Lillian Capozzola of Woburn, MA and many cousins, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews and friends. A graduate of Northeastern University, he served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War before a long career as a U.S. Postal Inspector. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was an also an active member of the NOVA Catholic Community in Arlington, VA where he was involved with the "Family Emergency Fund, " which assists families identified by school social workers with basic needs such as diapers and heating bills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenneth’s memory to the NOVA Catholic Community Family Emergency Fund, 2739 N. Yucatan Street, Arlington, VA 22213 or to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710. A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, September 23rd, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
