Margaret J. Warchal, 79

Margaret J. “Peg” (Logan) Warchal, age 79, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 16, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Frank Warchal, to whom she was wed for the past 50 years.

Born in Attleboro, MA on April 20, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Vincent H. and Georgiana A. (Lumnah) Logan. She grew up in Attleboro and was a 1955 graduate of Attleboro High School.

Peg was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had also been employed at the former Bibeault Pharmacy in Attleboro and the former Pleasant Pharmacy in Attleboro, and also at Boston Scientific and Kendall Healthcare both in Mansfield.

Peg had made her home in Norton for the past 50 years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. Her family was the focal point of her life and she especially loved times spent with her grandchildren.

Peg’s hobbies included shopping, bowling, jigsaw puzzles, knitting, sewing, playing cards and being an avid walker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children Jeffrey S. Warchal and his partner Cheryl of Norton, Daniel F. Warchal and his wife Margaret of Australia, Michael J. “Oaky” O’Connell and his wife Nancy of New Hampshire, Dawn M. Currie and her husband Douglas of Florida, Cindy L. Long of South Attleboro, Mary A. Silver and her husband Keith of Norton, and Karen Walasavage and her husband Stanley of Oregon. She was the dear sister of Jean M. Lee and her husband Robert of South Attleboro and the late Walter B. Logan. She is also survived by her cherished 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, September 23rd at 10:00 A.M. in St Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Margaret with a donation in her memory made to the Community Visiting Nurse Association, 10 Emory St., Attleboro, MA 02703.
