George Jenkins Cole
Augusta, GA – George Jenkins Cole died on September 15, 2016 at age 70. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lyon Cole of Evans.
George was born in Mobile, AL, son of the late George Jenkins Cole, Sr. and Aileen H. Cole. He was a graduate of the University of South Alabama. George served in the US Marine Corp from 1968 until 1969 and married Barbara in 1970. Before retiring in Evans in 2006, he worked for Honeywell/UOP in Mobile, AL for 35 years.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by five cats which he adored.
A memorial service will be Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Beth Sanders officiating.
