Pierrette (Boussié) Noé, 85, of Natick died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland.
A Natick resident for 57 years, she was born in Mosset, France, the daughter of the late Pierre Boussié and Juliette Mestres Boussié. Pierrette grew up in Perpignan, France, and moved to the mountain village of Mosset during the German occupation of France during World War II.
In 1951, as part of her military service, she was stationed in Paris where she met her future husband, Jacques Noé. They married in 1953, and in 1957 they settled in the U.S. with their two young sons, first in Malden and eventually in Natick in 1959.
She began working outside the home in 1973, as a French language teacher and waitress, and finally as an esthetician. She was the first woman to be hired as a waitress by the Ritz Carlton Café, a job where she had the pleasure of meeting celebrities such as Yousuf Karsh, Jack Lemmon, and Robert Redford.
In recent years, she worked as a mentor at the Walnut Hill School and volunteered at Natick High School. She was an active member of the Natick Senior Center where she developed her talent as a watercolor painter.
She is survived by her four sons, Patrick R. Noé and his wife Janet O’Donoghue of Quincy; Dominique J. Noé of Framingham; Marc J. Noé and his wife Julie of Ashland; and Thierry A. Noé of Natick; her brother André Boussié of Chevreuse, France; seven grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Nicole, Bridget, Olivia, Max, and Sophia Noé; and her great-grandson, Nicholas Noé.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of Pierrette’s life on Monday, September 19, at 7:30 pm in the chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation on Monday begins at 5 pm prior to the service.
