Obituary

William Jack Barden, 87, Anderson, died September 15, 2016 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born April 8, 1929 in LaPorte, IN to Ray C. and Ada L. (Presley) Barden and graduated from LaPorte High School in 1947.

He was maintenance supervisor at Anderson University 11 years, retiring in 1991 and worked sales for 10 years at Duo Supply.

He attended Madison Park Church of God. He enjoyed his family, basket ball, baseball and bowling and was an avid Cubs Fan.

Survivors include his three children, Michael Barden, Mary (Timothy) Thomas and Mindy (Ernest) Biven; brother, Richard (Gwen) Barden; four grandchildren, Levi (Carmen) Voss, Eric Hanna, Jacob (Mercedes) Biven and Megan Hamilton; two step-grandchildren, Derek (Teri) Thomas and Holly (Brian) Nelsen; great grandchildren, Audrey and Emma Voss, Kyla, Christian, and Colton Hanna, Joshua Hamilton, Adler, Becker, and Calister Nelsen, several nieces, nephews and extended family at Madison Park Church of God.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lucille Barden on March 12, 2008, two sisters and two brothers. Special thanks to Keystone Woods for their special love and care.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. on Monday, September 19, at Madison Park Church of God with Pastor Tom Malbone officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison Park.
