Barbara Ann (Breedon) Beddia, 87, of Englewood, FL, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2016. She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty seven years, John.
Barbara was born July 8, 1929 in Brockton to her parents, Frances (Crowell) Edgeworth and Lawrence Breedon. She was the sister of Richard Edgeworth and the late Joan Griffin Mixon. While residing in Brockton and Rochester, MA, Barbara was an active member of the Brockton Assembly of God for more than 25 years. After retiring with her husband to Florida, she joined Westcoast Church of Englewood where she served as a deaconess and devoted her time to many ministries. She loved holidays and family get-togethers, and looked forward to cooking for her family.
Barbara enjoyed playing games, gardening, spending time at the beach, and reading (especially her Bible). Family and friends may best remember Barbara for her life-long friendships, her kindness to others, and her devotion to the Lord.
She was a loving mother to Stephen Beddia and his wife Susan, Sandra and her husband Alton Douglass, Sharon and her husband Phillip Wardner, Susan and her husband Darren Hall, the late Scott Beddia and his wife Diane, Sheila Sherwood, and Rev. John Beddia and his wife Janet. Barbara was very proud of her grandchildren, Tracy Orphanos, Joseph Hume, Cheri Dame, Kelly Wardner, Scott Wardner, Lori Cochrane, Jacob Hall, Jessica Cutliffe-Hall, Nicole Epolito, Danielle Stewart, Timothy Beddia, Crystal Sherwood, Heather Mullen, Johnathen and Dawson Beddia, her eighteen great-grandchildren and her one great-great grandchild. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Her family welcomes loved ones and friends to the visiting hours on Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 from 2 to 6 pm at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street Brockton. There will be a funeral service on Monday at 10 am at the Brockton Assembly of God Church at 199 Warren Avenue, Brockton, MA. Internment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the Brockton Assembly of God Church/Building Fund, 199 Warren Avenue, Brockton, MA 02301 or Westcoast Church/ Building Fund, 240 Pine Street, Englewood, FL 34223.
