Luisa Cardoso Fernandes (83) of Brockton died September 14th in the Brockton Hospital. She was the widow of the late Herculano Fernandes.
She was born in Furna, Brava, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Miguel Mendes Robaldo and Domingas Cardoso and has been in Brockton the past 10 years. Luisa enjoyed music and dancing, cooking for family and watching her grandchildren.
Survivors include 4 sons, Nilton Fernandes of Brockton, Joao, Jose Herculano and Pedro Herculano Fernandes all of Cabo Verde, 5 daughters, Aldevina and Adelina Fernandes also Candida Medina all of Brockton, Zinha Fernandes of Cabo Verde and Hirondina Fernandes of Boston (mother of the late Julio Jorge Fernandes) 1 sister Maria Alda Robaldo of Cabo Verde, many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday September 17th at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Friday September 16th from 5-8 pm.
