Obituary

Victor J. Tremblay, 68, of Amherst, NH, died August 2, 2005, at Concord Community Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Concord, July 12, 1937, he was the son of Victor A. and Clotilda (Comi) Tremblay. He graduated from Concord High School in 1955, and from Yale University in 1959. He later earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Dartmouth College in 1972.

He was a retired Captain in the US Navy where he served for 30 years both in active duty, from 1959 to 1964, and in the US Naval Reserves until 1989.

He retired in 1988 as vice president of Bankeast Holding Co., where he worked for many years.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral in Manchester.

Family members include his wife of 35 years, Carole S. (Schalk) Tremblay of Amherst; two daughters, Erica M. Tremblay of Boston, MA, and Victoria C. Tremblay of Chicago, IL; a sister, Victoria L. Young of Watertown, NY; a nephew and two nieces.



A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday August 5, 2005 at St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell St., corner of Pine St., Manchester, NH. Urn burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, 207 North State St., Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, c/o Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Dr., Lebanon, NH 03766.
