Obituary

Mr. Alfred Joseph LeClair, 76, of Salem, New Hampshire passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Methuen Village Assisted Living in Methuen. He was born on December 26, 1939 in New Bedford, Massachusetts son of the late Joseph Alfred and Irene (Tetreault) LeClair. Mr. LeClair was educated in the local schools of New Bedford and was a graduate of Northeastern University and Lowell Technical Institute.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and worked 20 years as a Postal Worker for the United States Postal Service. Mr. LeClair was a member of the Granite United Church in Salem, New Hampshire. He was the President of Canobie Fish and Game Club, a life member of the NRA and a member of the Salem, NH Historical Society. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and was a life time member of Good Sam’s Club.

His son Christopher John LeClair of Salem, NH
His daughter Nicole M. LeClair of Syracuse, NY
Steven J. Holmstrom and his wife Elaine of Bedford, TX
Cynthia A. McLafferty and her husband Leroy of Columbia, SC
Grandchildren Ryan and his wife Melissa Holmstrom, Patrick McLafferty, Katie Holmstrom and Christopher McLafferty,
Great Grandson Alexander Holmstrom
As well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Alfred was predeceased by his former wife Josephine LeClair, and his sister Joan Roux and his brother Rene LeClair.

Celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Granite United Church, 1 Sand Hill Road, Salem, New Hampshire.
