Mary B. Smeesters 92, of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully Sunday, September 11th at her home in Lawrence, MA with her family by her side.
Born in Lawrence, MA she was the daughter of the late John Jencius and Ursula Galubickute Cesnickaite Jencius of Lithuania. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, graduated from Lawrence High School Class of 1942.
Mary worked for Pacific Mills Lawrence, MA on the assembly parts line in the 1940's. She also worked for Raytheon Andover, MA on the wiring soldering assembly line. Bullock Industries Lawrence, MA on the repair and wire soldering assembly line, Western Electric No. Andover, MA on the repair and wire soldering assembly line. In the late 1960's she worked at the I.R.S. Andover, MA as a tax examiner.
Mary enjoyed reading romance novels and had numerous hobbies: oil painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, ceramics, ham radio and CB operator. She was also an avid doll collector.
She will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) F. Smeesters, her son, Russell R. and daughter, Diana M. Smeesters. She also predeceased by her brother, John J. Jenkins.
Mary is survived by her daughters: Shirley E. Cullen and her life partner David A. Tewell of Lawrence, MA. Deborah J. Smeesters-Prudhomme and her husband Paul R. Prudhomme of Dracut, MA. Sister: Stephanie Kulesza Nephews: Adam Kulesza Jr., Stephen Kulesza and Anthony Kulesza all of Dracut, MA
Services were private and held Wednesday September 14th at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home Methuen, MA. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery Lawrence, MA
