OXFORD-Paul R. Holms, 81, formerly of Oxford passed away on Tuesday, September 13th at Care One at Millbury. Paul leaves his daughter, Paula Gillies and her husband Paul of Woodstock, CT, his granddaughter, Lindsey Gillies, nieces, nephews and cousins. Two brothers, Robert and Ronald Frykholm predeceased him.
Paul was born in Worcester a son of Hebert E. and Lillias (Cummings) Frykholm. Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. After the war, Paul worked for 41 years at The Telegram & Gazette as a compositor retiring in 2000. Paul loved history, geography and making people laugh often with jokes that he made up.
The family would like to thank the VNA Central Mass Hospice of Southern Worcester County for the compassionate care given to Paul.
A Graveside Service for Paul will be held on Friday, September 16th at 11:00 am at Old Swedish Cemetery, 130 Webster St., Worcester. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
