Maria Olivia (Dias Pereira) Geraldes, age 84 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016. Born in São Miguel Açores she is the daughter of the late João and Maria do Carmo Pereira and former wife of the late Armindo Geraldes. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening and passing those traditions on to her children and grandchildren who she lived for.
Olivia is survived by her children; Joseph Geraldes and his wife Joan of Swansea, Idalina Geraldes and her fiancé Charly Boulay of Swansea, Armanda Geraldes and her companion John Ferland of Fall River, and Angelina Geraldes of Fall River, grandchildren; Theresa Geraldes, Jennifer Melo, David and Olivia Machado, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late José Pereira, and Idalina Cunha.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
