Jay Kelly passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2016, at the age of 55. Jay was born in Prosser, WA on January 29, 1961 to his parents, Harold and Edith (Gimlin) Kelly. He married Danica Miller in August of 1984. The Kelly’s moved to Anacortes in 1996 where they raised their two children, Andrew and Amanda Kelly.
Jay was a skilled carpenter and worked building and remodeling houses and doing landscape projects. Later he worked at Dri-Eaz as a plastics operator. He loved fishing and camping. His favorite memories came from time spent on the Columbia River with family and friends. He loved sports and could be found at all of his children’s games. He was an avid Seahawks and Mariners fan.
Jay was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew, son-in-law and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Danica Kelly; his children, Drew and Amanda; his grandson, Koda; his mother, Edith Kelly of Prosser; his siblings, Ray Kelly and his wife, Denise, Debbie Cloud and her husband, Tom, Denise Marley and her husband, Kelly and Pam Miller and her husband, Sky; and his in-laws Dan and Judy Miller. He had so much love for his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
